Welcome to canBarcode, the Barcode Inventory iPhone app, by canApps. This mobile inventory system has a multitude of uses and is very easy to use. It scans a barcode using the iPhone camera, allowing additional information to be stored about the item that you are scanning.

There are a number of different options to choose from to tailor the app to your needs. When you use the app for the first time, the setup page will be displayed. It is initially setup for information specific to a business that installs solar panels however it is very easy to change each information item and show or hide as necessary. Ensure that you review the defaults and the setup sections on the setup view.
- KEEP INVENTORY
This option will store the scanned inventory on your iPhone so that you can take your inventory anywhere.
- LOOKUP
This option will look up the scanned barcode in the inventory list and display the details already stored. When this is switched off, you will be prompted to update a barcode that already exists in the inventory.
- SCAN
The barcoding scanning can be turned off if you choose to use this as an inventory system without barcoding.
- CLEAR ON SCAN
This option clears the fields when a new barcode is scanned or entered. Only the displayed fields that dont have a default will be cleared. Having this option switched on can be useful for the data entry of many different items. Having this option switched off keeps the previous details.
When the app is installed the initial settings are
-5 fields shown and 1 field hidden
-incremental option ON for 5th item
-keep inventory ON
-scanning ON
-lookup OFF
-clear on scan OFF
